Family Portrait Photography
Family portrait photography in the Cayman Kai district of Grand Cayman by Joseph Linder Photography. Join me on a recent photo shoot with this small family. On a secluded beach at the end of Sand Point Drive.
Cayman Kai, a quiet 400-acres on Grand Cayman’s north coast, offers many of the same amenities and recreational opportunities as Seven Mile Beach but without the big crowds. Lined with palm trees and blessed with white coral sand, Cayman Kai has more than six miles of beaches for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, beach volleyball, sailing, and more.
This location is a favorite amongst my family portrait photography clients. Particularly those staying in the East End, North Side and Cayman Kai. During the summer months, these shoots are conducted between 6 and 7 pm to make the most of soft and changing light. The first half of the shoot is generally held in the shade of the palm trees on the point. With the palm throngs, white sand and protected bay making a fantastic frame and backdrop.
Once the sun has begun to set, the cloud on the horizon tends to diffuse the light allowing us to head to the point and get some beach and reflection shots before finishing up with the sunset photo at the end of the session.
